I think it’s time to revoke my status as a salad-hater. I don’t think it’s a true statement anymore. Given the number of salads I’ve recently posted and the several I have waiting in the wings, it’s fair to assume I’m a salad-lover at this point. But I don’t have love for just any salad. A salad must come with a side of naughty to mask a bit of the nice. I’m not proud of this childish approach to eating my greens. But if onion rings can make me feel a touch more enthusiastic about spinach so be it. If the title above is confusing, I am convinced you are not alone. This is a confusing recipe. It draws on a lot of different dishes and it comes together like a fancy tuna sandwich. But you must trust me, these Tuna Rangoon Trapizzini are well worth your attention. I think this will be my picnic sandwich of choice all summer long. So what are you looking at? Well, you’re looking at a filling inspired by the American crab rangoon made with Japanese ingredients stuffed into a pizza/sandwich hybrid popular on the streets of Rome. I have written extensively about my love for veggie burgers. I’m a huge fan of the variety of grain and legume medley’s that fall under the veggie patty umbrella. I find them satisfying, totally crave-able, and nothing like a regular burger. And that is fine by me. My veggie burger cravings and burger burger cravings are not intertwined. In other words, I would never dream of subbing one for the other. They offer completely different eating experiences. These Curried Kidney Bean Patties for instance, in no way scratch a Big-Mac-style itch. But when I’m in the market for a toothsome veggie burger, they more than fit the bill.

I’ve always had a soft spot for the Baja Fish Taco. I think it has a lot to do with my fish and chip-heavy upbringing. I just can’t say no to beer-battered anything. Whenever I’m fortunate enough to find myself in a taqueria, I inevitably add a Baja Fish Taco to my order. I just can’t help it. And I would guess, neither can you. The Baja Fish Taco seems to be almost universally loved. But that won’t stop me from fiddling with it. Although to be fair, today’s Baja Fish Taco Salad is just a simple format change. What’s the point of improving upon perfection?
